Dreams – 9/3
9/3/25: I was in my grandparents’ house in Keokuk but it had crushed blue velvet carpets. I needed to use the toilet (which was out in the open) but I saw the toilet was overflowing and then I realized water was oozing through the carpet from the basement. I needed to get the water to stop but I couldn’t move because I didn’t know how to get to the second floor without going to the basement first.
9/3/24: I was a ronin and failed to protect a lord’s son. The lord said that was understandable since I was ronin then, but that he would now declare me “Kukurokagi” and a member of the clan. He then gave me a chicken wing that had no skin and said “From this day forward you will keep this in the folds of your buttocks and be known as samurai.” I reached behind me and saw that I had a pocket as part of my butt, so I put the chicken wing there.
9/3/22 #1: I was in a classroom–I was a student but I was also adult. I was teaching the teacher about ‘Love’s Labor Lost’ but she’d never heard of the play so she looked it up on the classroom computer–on a table with lots of plants. Then she stood to move past me to get to the printer, but stopped and started doing a grind-y club dance against me and said “This Shakespeare guy sounds hot.”
9/23/22 #2: We were on a beach and these little spider/crab things appeared, about baseball size. They started devouring everything so we started running away. An alligator tried to eat them, but they ate the alligator. We ran into a house, went upstairs and got spray bottles to defend ourselves. Kaiju (our dog) was there and we blocked him upstairs because there was now a shiny black dog on the main level that kept starting at us and Kaiju wanted to investigate. He leaped the gate, talked to the black dog, then came back upstairs. The spider-crabs that ate everything avoided the house because dogs were their mortal enemies/defenders of the earth.
9/3/21: I was playing a East Front wargame with Jeff A. [who I have not seen in real life in 22 years]. He was an army general now. He was the Soviet and he had white cubes and cylinders. I was the Germans and I had red and blue cubes and rectangles. The game was point-to-point movement and he moved his entire army to one spot on the map. I noted that it would mean his army was completely out of supply. He said that was okay…living off the land made his men ‘meaner and greener’. He also said it guaranteed victory. I used my movement points then to capture everything from Minsk to Stalingrad and most importantly, captured the “Standard Oil Company” stickpin on the Black Sea coast which meant automatic victory. He shook his head and said, “I didn’t see that coming.”
