Dreams – 9/15

9/15/25: I was sitting on a couch next to Maria Deniston. She asked me to balance her checkbook, but I was confused because the pages unfolded accordion-style and had pictures from her high school yearbook and diary entries (not readable in the dream), so I tried to fold it in a way that there were only numbers but I still couldn’t tell anything. I handed it back and said “It looks good to me.”

9/15/22 #1: I was in a cemetery for a funeral, but I was responsible for grilling burgers for everyone. I had Papa Dietz’s old clamshell-shaped grill, but the cover was ‘clearsteel’ so I could see the red-hot metal and burgers inside. He reminded me “Don’t serve red hot meat to people. It will burn their mouths.”

9/15/22 #2: Someone built a robot that had a frame/design to make it look similar to the Eiffel Tower. The robot was designed to dance and look like it was holding a woman’s hand over her head as she pirouetted and also to sing ‘Feliz Anos’ whenever possible.

9/15/21: I was in a hotel that looked like my old high school. Nazis were there wanting to use it as a headquarters, but there were zombies. There was a panic and I would hide and then run to the next room. People in rooms were using nerf guns shooting tennis balls at the zombies. They didn’t kill the zombies but the zombies had to stop moving for five seconds if hit. Those were the rules.

9/15/18: I was in my home office working when my athletic director came in looking for a pair of pants, complaining that none of my pants fit him. He then tossed a schedule revision on my desk and asked, “Did you do this?”I said, “No, I turned the schedule in back in April.”He said, “I hate athletic directors. Sucks to be you, you’re taking vans.”I looked at the change–we were now playing South Suburban College and Puxatawny College on the road in Pennsylvania. I realized, “Yeah, this sucks.”

9/15/10: Iowa State and Iowa were going to play volleyball outside at night on a cool fall night. Everyone sat on metal bleachers watching. Before they did introductions, they started with fireworks launched to Pink Floyd music. Then they made everyone go inside and listened to speeches by the LLCC admin assistant, athletic director, and softball coach. I sat in a recliner and said, “Screw it. The Hawkeyes suck.”
