Dreams – 8/30
8/30/25: I was at a school reunion in the Carriage House talking to Mrs. Finch about the teachers I’d had there–>Mrs. Piersall, Mrs. Williamson, Mrs. Seefeldt, and Mrs. Finch, but then I realized it wasn’t Mrs. Finch. It was Mrs. Kemmerer dressed up to look like Mrs. Finch. I was very confused in the dream and then couldn’t remember if I was adult or still a child.
8/30/23: There was a big group of people at a marina. A guy in the water had his legs cut by a boat doing 360s–the boat had a sideways propeller. Then people were applying first aid, using a shoestring as a tourniquet on his right leg. Then I became the injured man and I was sitting on an examination bench, holding the shoe strings and feeling very sad because my left leg was bleeding a lot and no one cared and I figured I’d pass out from loss of blood. A former LLCC employee (Alison) kept asking if I was ok and got angry when I didn’t respond, at which point I started to lean over and just kept going and wound up with my head in her lap and I fell asleep–or passed out from blood loss.
8/30/22 #1: I was in the audience while watching Aubrey Hord do a cooking show from a ‘mini-kitchen’. She didn’t do anything except stare out at the crowd.
8/30/22 #2: I was doing a puppet show(?) with the static cling-ons kids used to play with. The cling-ons were all single colors, but they represented people like Stalin in the USSR, and whenever there was a purge, I would peel off the character and throw him in the trash can next to me. [Clearly a reference to the rubbish bin of history]
8/30/21 #1: I was in the middle of a road and couldn’t go anywhere because there was a truck with a massive pachinko display being played. It was at least 50 feet wide. The pachinko was working automatically and had a loudspeaker saying ‘everyone’s a winner’…but no one was playing. Everyone just wanted to keep moving.
8/30/21 #2: My volleyball team was playing softball against Sauk Valley. They had a ringer who was all-American at Iowa State. We were playing in Wrigley Field so she couldn’t break Babe Ruth’s home run record, but she did anyways. She hit one into the building across Waveland. But because there was a restriction on fans, only Sauk Valley parents saw it happen, so I knew no one else would ever believe it happened. [This is related to a VB player transferring to that school after playing two years at *Iowa State*…far above the playing level of anyone at NJCAA D2].
8/30/21 #3: I was in the foyer of a gym somewhere. We were getting ready to leave for a tournament…I finally had the color-coded schedule figured out…when the host team backed out but only told one other school, so the remaining seven were trying to figure out where everyone could play or if we should just cancel and host a track meet instead.
