Dreams – 6/7

6/7/25 #1: The world was taken over by trees which grew inside of people that came from pods. There were only a few humans remaining and we realized the plants spread by touch. Brea Cunningham (LLCC alum) showed up and only after time passed did we see she had a sprout out the back of her hand, so we put her and a few others into a trench and brick walls appeared, but we realized plants never die, so we left them in the pit and while others were deciding what to do next, I left to move to Antarctica. 6/7/25 #2: I was interviewing Jim Stone while he was Ohio State coach, but I wondered if it was an imposter, because he face was square and he had several days stubble. He never said anything, he just nodded with a wry smile. 6/7/25 #3: I was in a dorm room that had a private bathroom. I was talking to two people (no idea male/female, ages, or anything) but there was a sour smell. I turned around behind me and saw that in the shower, there was poop on the tile, but that the poop was in perfect cubes. I knew that was where the smell came from–and I wondered who pooped perfect cubes…I also wondered if that had been me who did it.

6/7/23: I was running a Battlebot that was a giant mallet (like you use in Whack-a-mole). It was outdoors on grass/earth, so all the robots struggled to move at all. I walked away and found myself in an old part of a cemetery where the headstones were all on shelves and were centuries old. It turned out I was in Mainz, Germany and the headstones were all for the kids killed in the atomic attack that destroyed that city long ago.

6/7/22 #1: I was in bed between Jenny J. and Grace D. I didn’t know how I got there. Jenny started kissing me and running her hand over me–and said “Smoochie” every time she kissed me. I whispered “But won’t Grace get jealous?” and Jenny said, “She has her back to us and is trying out her new menstrual cup.” [Really…what the heck is going on with this dream] Then Jenny J. went back to kissing me, etc, and I was completely frozen, unable to move or say anything more.

6/7/22 #2: I was in a committee meeting when I had a revolutionary idea. I was going to reprint roleplaying games but print them in pocket-sized editions so gamers could save space with all their books and have an easy reference/Cliff Notes available every time they played. No one in the committee cared but I started thinking of all the games I could print and calculating the font size necessary and still have it be readable.

6/7/21 #1: I was at a picnic with Katie N. Bierman a bunch of others and Duane Bierman and “Duane Bierman’s wife”. No one believed he was the real Duane Bierman so he had to prove it by playing musical instruments, He could play everything–except the drums. I smiled at Katie because we were the only two to know this couldn’t be the real Duane Bierman [in real life drums is Duane’s primary instrument].

6/7/21 #2: The pandemic caused problems for the volleyball national convention. I attended but kept walking around maintaining proper social distance of 50 feet as much as possible. I decided not to attend the national title game because it was going to be between Alabama and Bettendorf High School because they couldn’t find any teams eligible to play. Instead I went to a pub and they had on the basketball Final Four from Columbus, OH. The first game for 3rd place was going to be Illinois vs. Iowa. The championship game was Stanford vs. St. Ambrose. I was curious so I blinked and was at the Stanford/St. Ambrose game.

To make it fair, St. Ambrose was permitted a sixth player but he had to be one of the carpenters who set the gym up (it was under construction). When Ambrose had a player hurt, I got added. I was scared because of TV and when I shot, I kept missing–because the gym had an 12 foot ceiling so my shots kept bouncing off of that. When I got the rebound for the 10th straight time (that was according to the announcer/voiceover going on in my head), I realized Stanford’s roster was nothing but 10-year olds and I was two feet taller than all of them and that, at worst, I was going to set the NCAA rebounding record.
