Dreams – 6/26

6/26/25 #1: I was playing volleyball in a large gym with white lighting. I kept having to run all over the gym because my teammates couldn’t control a ball, so I would run the length of the gym and side-to-side to keep the ball in play while the other team laughed and my team said I needed to work harder. 6/26/25 #2: I was in a wood cabin with other people and we had to vote on something–and that meant drinking an orange liquid/syrup out of a test tube. I chose not to vote and walked out–and then it was nighttime and I was walking into a VB match at Brownstown High with Jim Earleywine (VB ref/coach). I went back to the car to remove my silk blue jacket because it had a Neoga Indian on it in red. When I got to the door, the Auburn HS coach asked if either of us wanted to give a chalk-talk or inspiration speech to her team. I said “I got this”. I went in the locker room and Ocie Glover was on the Auburn team. 6/26/25 #3: I was standing outside a house when I saw a black shape above. It came out of the sky towards me and I realized it was a giant bat. I ran under the eaves of the house and the bat landed on the gutter directly above me. I could see its claws. I tapped under it to try and scare it away but it wouldn’t move. 6/26/25 #4: I was in high school and we were doing the play ‘Julius Caeser’. The next play we were doing was already chosen and I was going around asking if my sister had a role because I was responsible for driving her everywhere. Someone said I needed to be at the current practice and I said “I got this. I’m more worried about the next one” as I went door to door in a toga looking for her.

6/26/24 #1: I was sitting in a lobby waiting for an appointment while the Lincoln Land athletic administrators discussed the coincidence of two pitchers who needed the same surgery. The players were ‘Taylor’ and ‘Drew Stephens’ [who had Tommy John surgery twice while at LLCC–is a real person]. They had an odd condition where veins in their shoulder merged and became a four-way intersection. The doctors were going to need to turn them into two separate veins. 6/26/24 #2: I was in a gym holding a video camera case and a power cord. I asked Sue Sinclair [former ICC coach] where she wanted me to do the video for her. She pointed to an outlet but it wasn’t going to work–I realized we were standing under the bleachers so I wouldn’t be able to shoot the court. Instead, I found another socket with an extension cord next to it and decided to plug in there–though the cord connector was weird–not male OR female, it’s connecting bits formed a smiley face. 6/26/24 #3: I was in the art room in the main building of my grade school. I needed to go to the bathroom but when I was done, it was growing dark and I realized I was in the steam tunnel system and that it would soon be pitch-black which meant the monsters could get me. The tunnels had been altered so there were corners in them and the floor was polished black tile. I took steps upward two at a time and found Mrs. Kemmerer [my 4th grade teacher] who wondered what I was doing. I just told her “It’s scary in the dark” and she said “That’s why I don’t go down there alone.”

6/26/22 #1: I was standing in a circle with people I knew [the only one I remember now is my daughter]. We were passing a volleyball around. I kept passing it with one hand/arm and kept shanking it. I’d have to go chase it down. The others were getting mad at me. Then my mom (but it WASN’T my mom) was in a gold recliner passing, too, and she said “Pass with two hands like everyone else” and I refused because I knew at some point, I’d have to pass with one hand, so I quit playing.

6/26/22 #2: I was driving the Challenger somewhere in Ohio. I couldn’t figure out where I was going. One guy in a silver car going the other direction asked if I wanted to drive out to ‘The Mile’. I said no. I finally pulled off the road where traffic wasn’t moving and into a mall parking lot where traffic was moving though I had to slalom around cars and was worried my car would get hit. The path nearest the stores moved the fastest and I was trying to merge in but knew I’d have to punch it. That’s when a black Trans-Am almost cut me off and I couldn’t merge. That driver then asked ‘Do you want to race out at ‘The Mile’?’

6/26/21: I parked at the building where I attended HS. I didn’t know if parking there was permitted so I went inside to ask. The main door was locked so I went in the side door. I asked the principal and he said he didn’t know but that the doors should be unlocked. He said I needed to ask Mr. Ferris, so I headed towards where Mr. Ferris’ office was. I saw him for a second in the hall going into his office. He was wearing a sky-blue track jumpsuit and his hair was white. Just as weird, he was about 5’5 (in real life he was 6’2 or so). I went in and I shrank to his height as I stood looking at his back. He turned and said “Let it be done” and I knew the doors were unlocked and my car had a parking permit on the windshield.
