Dreams – 6/17
6/17/25 #1: [fragment only] There was a Lego set on a table. It was a steam engine and there was a Lego of Lucille Ball next to it. It was all part of the “Lucille Ball Collection.” 6/17/25 #2: There was French toast on a table and Wally Carlson threw a bucket of maple syrup at it and I nicely corrected him. I took a bucket and put an empty bucket on top of it, then squeezed it down, so the syrup trickled down the bucket onto the toast. I said “This is more elegant.” Wally said, “I can do that next time.”
6/17/24: I was at a long narrow table in a long, narrow room with a lot of people playing a boardgame about world domination. Erick was across the table from me and had four cards in his hand and three on the table–and then he rolled a die and I knew he would win the game if it rolled 1-3. It did and I was disappointed because I was down to one card and would have won the game by controlling the Dardanelles.
6/17/23: I was setting up a gym for volleyball. The chairs were like those at conferences rather than folding chairs. There were only eight available for the right-side bench because our opponent didn’t realize how many players we have. On the left bench, we were setting up our own. I measured the space to figure out where a water cooler went but then realized we had put all our chairs up against the sideline, so they would need to be moved back to their proper distance. We didn’t do this for the other bench though.
[A second dream was ‘lost’/forgotten when Spike fell out of the bed at some point in the night.]
6/17/22: [only a fragment remains] I was at a baseball stadium with a game going on. No one knew the rules on how or when to remove a pitcher, so we were trying to figure that out.
6/17/21 #1: I had to kiss a person–situation was like kissing a bride. The difference was this ‘person’ had maggots for a face. It was disgusting, so I hesitated. From the front row of the church, someone called out to hurry up, “It’s not the worst thing you’re going to do today.” Somehow I knew that was correct, so I kissed the ‘person’. [This comes from watching a ‘Supernatural’ episode with leviathans with their weird oversized mouths with hundreds of small teeth]
6/17/21 #2: I was in a hot tub, except it was really a giant swamp with trees, muck, the works. Everything was steaming and I realized I was in Finland. It was to the point I felt like I was boiling. It was all hot because the Finns had burned most of the trees where they stood and the TOUGH Finns were the men who relaxed in the water and leaned up against the burning trees…and this is where they got the term “Sissi” (which is an actual Finn term for being tough). It also turned out that Finns built their seasonal hopes on the back of giant turtles which wedged themselves into hillsides to stay warm in winter and when spring came, they’d unstick themselves and return to the water.
