Dreams – 5/6

5/6/25: I was en route to a VB tournament on Brady Street but we were staying at a college. I walked down Brady looking for where we were playing but the route was blocked by a giant hotel complex. Then I was on a bus and we were riding down Brady again and I realized that the hotel complex was the “Golden Sheraton” where we were playing. I wondered where the driver would park and decided “That’s not my problem.” Then I was on a short flight of stairs where people were sorting medals and other stuff. I had to pick up respirators because we were “St. John’s Catholic School”–respirators were required for all Catholic schools, even though we were really undercover, actually a public high school.

At some point in the dream, I was in a car halfway onto a sidewalk running over parking meters (almost like Pac-Man scoring points).

5/6/24: I was working for a game company and we ‘have to come up with a game completely original never done before in the history of man’ for a client–but there was nothing I could see/no one was around…then suddenly I was at a fancy restaurant at a table with two clients and two women and a guy from the game company. The other game people had made a unique game piece and wanted me to mention that as much as possible to the clients. The one client’s name was “Jim McGlocklin”. The other’s name was not mentioned but he “made his millions by investing in rust”. The other guy wanted the games to have a hand-crafted knife put in the game and “I don’t care if the game’s good, but I want a knife!” Jim McGlocklin slammed the table with his palm and laughed really loudly.

5/6/23 (nap): I was beside a gravel road. There were police on the other side of the road next to a house. Jaeger, Kaiju, and Spike were with them. Julie was behind the wheel of a red sports car (like something a 70s movie would think would exist in 2023) and started driving. The dogs ran into the road and I waved at her to stop but Julie wouldn’t stop until she hit one. She hit Jaeger. Jaeger curled up like a pill bug and I was very mad at Julie and couldn’t speak.

5/6/23: I was in the Bettendorf mansion and I was in school again. I was heading for math class, but realized I wasn’t wearing any pants, so I was trying to carry books while holding my t-shirt down so no one could see anything. I saw Jenny J. in the hall dressed in a black dress with white pinstripes looking like a gangster moll, but she ignored me. I tried to go unnoticed thru my math classroom to the bathroom and when I got to the bathroom, it was occupied by “Keith Anderson’s oldest son”. He came out in a suit and tie. I went in and the bathroom was actually Keith’s office and I noticed there was urine on the lid of the toilet and all around and that I was going to get blamed for what had been done. I didn’t want to touch the toilet lid so I looked for something else to go in and saw a metal trash can–and it was half-full of urine because others had done the same thing.

I started going when the door opened. Matt Kelley and Mark Seggebruch [people from the school I attended and haven’t thought of since 1982 or so] were playing a boardgame and laughing at me. I couldn’t get the door to shut and they laughed harder when the door fell off and I tried to use a spare whiteboard to block the doorway. When it was finally blocked, I saw I’d knocked over a bunch of addressed envelopes and boxes and I KNEW I had to stack them nicely before heading back to class or Keith Anderson returning to the office/bathroom.

5/6/22: I was swimming in an ocean because there was no land anywhere to be seen but there were swimmers everywhere because the water wasn’t more than several feet deep anywhere. I made sure not to put my eyes underwater because I knew if I did that, my corneas would disintegrate and I would be blind.

5/6/21: I was in Weimar Germany, but the WW2 Nazis were in charge. I was teaching a history class when I was arrested and put in a cell. I was left there with nothing to do until I was escorted to the small living room/TV room in my mom’s house in Davenport (the SW room next to the porch). There were lots of bodies laying on the ground. The SS officer gave me a dot-matrix print out that I couldn’t read…it was messed up. He said I was guilty and had to pay a 50-Euro fine. He then asked if I was planning on leaving the country. I got his hint and told him “Just as soon as I pack my belongings and can get in a car to Canada.” He said if that was the case I was free to go.
