Dreams – 5/4

5/4/25 #1: I was on a street corner planning to make a getaway for some reason. I was getting ready to steal a brown “Lamborghini Tesla” when I saw a brown Lamborghini Tesla smoke its tires, have its back end wobble, then streak down 18th St. in Bettendorf. I realized I was in a brown Cadillac and that the person next to me was from a CBS soap opera and looked like John Forsyth. 5/4/25 #2: I was in my elementary school building looking for Mrs. Loula, but I couldn’t find her. Everything was half its old size so I was having to duck to look into rooms and I could take stairways in 1-2 steps. Her 6th grade room had a baby-blue couch filling it and I saw junk piled in front of Mrs. Kemmerer’s door and I realized the building was a shelter for homeless people as well as a school.

5/4/24: My daughter told me she had new tattoos–this made me mad, so I blinked and I was in the doorway to our bathroom (which had no toilet…). Julie was laying on the ground naked with a guy who looked like the guys on romance novel covers. I realized she had let the guy give her tattoos–some were old, so he’d been doing this for a while, but she was complaining that the injections made her feel like she wasn’t herself. He nodded and looked at the back of her right leg. There was a dragon tattoo all over her thigh but the back was all black and the black was spreading. He said “You’ll be fine soon enough. Your leg inside is becoming viscous. I knew he’d made her part of an alien/X-Files project but I didn’t stop him because the tattoo in private places made me mad. –neither one of them saw me standing there OR saw me and didn’t care.

5/4/23: I was walking in Sigel. Everyone had a detached garage and I was looking in all the windows. I told whoever I was with that if someone asked what we were doing, I’d answer “Taking inventory.” I noticed that everyone’s garages were cluttered and that no one was storing cars in them. Our neighbor had installed portable bookshelves and had a ton of little kids’ books. I realized that everyone was doing this in preparation for a village garage sale and everyone was participating except me.

5/4/22: I was watching a TV show. It starred a VB alum, Brittany B. and was called “Brittney and the Dad.” (Yes, the show misspelled her name). The show was the pilot. She was going to marry someone but it turned out he was her dad instead–it was in the courthouse/set from ‘Night Court’. When they found out they were dad/daughter, he shrugged and said “I’ll marry her instead” pointing at a woman exiting to the hallway. Brittney/Brittany shrugged and said, “I’ll marry him then!” and walked up to Cody, her actual husband. Then theme music played and the show was over.

[influenced/direct subplot taken from the ‘Birdgirl’ episodes from Adult Swim’s ‘Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law’ cartoon series]

5/4/21: I drove a car to the high school I attended. I park and start walking up the steps to the big doors under the porch with the lights. All the while, the theme from ‘Get Smart‘ is playing. When I go to pull the doors open, they are locked. The music stops and I get back into my car.
