Dreams – 3/3
3/3/25: I was behind the mound at Wrigley. A batter hit a foul ball that went way out of the park. The catcher came towards the mound to check if the pitcher was tired and the pitcher started yelling at the catcher to shut up. The catcher took his mask off and I realized the catcher was his little brother and the pitcher was a bully. The catcher went back behind the plate and then I was on the sidelines of a football game. Players were in 1930s-style uniforms. Players on my sideline were in yellow and brown–may have been dark maroon. A stocky Asian guy wanted to play catch and had someone get off the bench to play with him. The other guy was Asian, short, and had black horn-rimmed (“BCG”) glasses. He was bloodied/bruised from the game and wouldn’t throw it hard at the first guy. The first guy got mad and told the second “You need to take this seriously. Be committed.” I realized they were brothers and the first guy looked like the baseball pitcher. I looked at the scoreboard and we were winning 48-0 at the final two-minute warning.
3/3/24 #1: I was standing next to a friend’s car–who was in the driver seat. I was on the sidewalk. It was dark like midnight but it was the middle of the day. We couldn’t get our phones to work and there was nothing but static on the radio. Then there was lightning and I realized there was a massive spaceship, growing larger, that was between the Earth and the Sun, basically like an eclipse. My friend couldn’t see this but then I pointed out a second ship to the left of the first that he did see. The ships were different shapes and they moved really fast–like they were planes rather than vessels the size of the Moon. 3/3/24 #2: I was in a crowded house where a ‘video game party’ was getting ready to start. I bumped into the game console that was on a stand next to a 15-20″-ish cathode-ray TV in front of a couch. I sat on an open spot on the couch when it got quiet and Pat Connolly started to explain the party’s rules but every time someone said anything, Pat stopped speaking and started explaining the importance of silence. The woman next to me said “He does this every time. It’ll take two hours before we start.” I blinked and then I was in a workroom next to the party sitting at a desk and Pat was asking questions about a novel. I answered “It’s different because both sides are led by women and neither side are the good guys.” Pat said “No” and thought at me “It’s because they are alien” and I thought back “Duh. Everyone knows they are actually spore people.” I noticed he had taped lots of newspaper comic strips to the desk I was at and that they were supposedly about classic novels.
3/3/23 #1: I was watching a football game from a skycam view. Matthew Stafford threw a ball badly and a Bears player dove and intercepted it but he didn’t get up. My view then ‘crashed through’ the TV/skycam and I was on the field. The Bear was injured because he had blood all over his legs because there had been a pungi stick buried in the field.
3/3/23 #2: I was at a DQ with my Jr High VB team (that wasn’t T-town). I kept trying to place an order but they kept correcting the order, telling me what I wanted…by the time I could convince the DQ person I was the one who really knew what I wanted, all they had left was something called ‘chocolate soup’.
3/3/22 #1: I was in the Wild West and there was a guy who intended to climb into a safe–the safe had a table and chair in it. He was going to protect the contents even though he’d die of suffocation. He was sitting at his desk writing his will with a stick of charcoal. Some letters were huge like an eyechart. His wife suggested drilling a hole in the top so he would have breathable air. The man didn’t listen so she left to find the sheriff to come and tell him he was an idiot.
3/3/22 #2: I joined a ‘great race’ competition. We were on a monorail and everyone got instructions and raced off the bus except me because I was slow. The monorail controller said not to worry. We’d get where I needed to go quicker and he started moving again. I saw that the controller was Gordon Ramsey. Ahead I saw the Mississippi through some trees (though it was a lake??) and that the monorail was stopping at the top of a cliff. I got off and Ramsey said, “Make sure you stay to the left if you’re going to make it.” I went left. There was a challenge to do there but I needed a partner. That’s when Dave P. was assigned to me. My job was to ride a bicycle over a plank suspended over the water way below. Dave had to ride on the handlebars with his feet up in the air. Then we had to climb down the cliff to the river. I was excited we did the bike challenge quickly then Dave said “Climbing goes up not down” and quit.
