Dreams – 3/27

3/27/24 #1: I was in a tower defending it from attack. The tower extended into the sky but I was near the ground. It reminds me now (awake) of climbing into a 1960s/70s playground rocket slide. The tower was surrounded by woods. I fired a pistol at an attacker–she was skipping, going counter-clockwise around the tower. My first two shots missed, then the third bullet flew slowly, more like it was traveling through water. The girl turned and stared at me. Then I was suddenly higher in the tower and was falling–I hit something hard, looked around, and realized the upper levels were made from twigs and thin branches and that if I moved, they could collapse and I’d fall further, but otherwise, I could see ‘for miles and miles’. 3/27/24 #2: I was driving the Challenger down a rocky (cobblestone?) narrow street. I was trying to park on the left-hand side but there were waves of people walking towards me and I was having to drive a slalom-path around them. I wound up parking in a building where my son, Michael, was standing. He tossed his stuff in the back seat inside a special crack/section, so that it took up none of the seats…I hadn’t realized the special storage area existed. I got in the car, realized the entrance to the building had moved and was behind me, so I had to reverse out of it. Then I was in Dave P.’s garage and I misjudged his drive and was falling over the edge into a ditch but I couldn’t get the car out of R into D or get the brakes to work. I heard the car scrap against the drive as it fell and I was really upset. The car was at a 45-degree angle. I got out and it was flat on the ground with no damage. Michael was looking at me and I heard “Can we go now?” but his mouth never moved.

3/27/23: I was in my mom’s basement and there were tables everywhere with stuff on them. Julie’s mom was there and she was rifling through my wallet asking if I had enough money. I said I had $500 in it and she said, “Julie’s money you stole, I bet.” I walked between the furnace room and the root cellar and back again looking for someplace to go to the bathroom. I found a toilet but it was setting on the floor and looked moldy/crusty. There was a pile of sawdust, too. Julie’s mom kept watching me so I toed open the toilet and saw it wasn’t crusty, just old but it wasn’t attached to plumbing so I decided to pee in the sawdust instead.

3/27/22: I moved away from my friends on Foster in Westgate at ISU. Instead, I was living in ‘Eastgate’ on the other side of campus. I knew they wouldn’t come visit because it was a whole day’s walk to reach Eastgate. I knew the only person I knew who would see me was Maria D. (someone I knew in JH/HS and for a bit in college) as she lived in Maple-Willow-Larch. The eastern portion of campus was all modernistic and looked like the matte paintings they use as backgrounds in sci-fi movies.
