Dreams – 2/20
2/20/25 #1: I was on a train in the front row in a wooden bench with a coatrack to my right. I was happy I had the row to myself when someone saw this and a short, fat, old white guy with a mustache decided he needed to sit next to me–but want to sit next to the coats. I moved over and he kept squeezing me towards the aisle so I got up and moved to the other side of the train, but I was then in a car and squeezed against my grandfather who was supposed to be driving but he was flat against the window so I was actually driving–though I was now just a kid in the dream. We went down a steep hill and everyone went “WOOOOOOO!!!” I didn’t know which way to turn so Papa tapped on the dash and there was a little GPS in the far corner. I turned and then I wasn’t in a car. I was trying to spot my grandfather in a crowded street at night. I knew he was wearing a blue collared shirt and gray pants but I couldn’t see him through all the men dressed in lederhosen because we were in New Orleans for Oktoberfest. 2/20/25 #2: I was on a mostly empty bus when someone behind the driver set up a computer and started rehearsing an opening for his radio show which would start at 4pm. That was the same time I was supposed to be on the air. I saw a logo on his computer screen that looked like two R in mirror image (could’ve been the AA of the 82nd Airborne, too) and realized he worked for the same company. We didn’t know if we were misscheduled of if we worked on different genres. I didn’t have a computer with me, so I then wondered what time it was and if I was going to be late.
2/20/24 #1: I was looking at a pair of Detroit Lions uniforms. They belonged to QBs and had really long names on the back and I realized that the secret to winning in the NFL was the length of a quarterback’s last name–longer was better. I wondered if others knew this and then I wondered how the NFL would put names on the uniform back once they were more than 20 letters. Would they use two lines or would they put the letters in a rainbow around the numbers?
2/20/24 #2: I was trying to grab a tortilla but it broke so I was holding only a quarter of it. I put it on a black plate and realized I could break other tortillas, then take a quarter of each other tortilla and could put them all together on my plate and that would permit me to call my dish ‘Mexican Pizza’.
2/20/23:
I was with the Tom Baker Dr. Who after he solved a murder. He started walking towards a Sinclair gas station and I followed because he wouldn’t answer my questions. My clothes felt heavy and I realized I was wearing a big fur coat (like a Bullwinkle college frat-guy BIG coat) along with a really long scarf–and I realized I was a Time Lord, too. I followed Tom Baker into a city and then realized where he was going and took a shortcut and got there at the same time as him. He was impressed. He then started talking to a vegetable dealer who tried to sell him a sack of onions. Tom Baker said he knew the onions started in Kiel, went to New York, Los Angeles, and then traveled to Russia before coming to London. I laid down on the ground and stuck up my left foot and big toe, facing the onions. Tom Baker used my toe to shoot a laser at the vegetables which gave him coordinates we needed. He was again happy with my resourcefulness.
I walked away, turned around, and started pulling up my pants and he said, “There’s stuff there that’s never been in a pair of my pants before.” He laughed. I kept trying to keep the pants up and realized they were parachute pants with buttons up and down the seam of both legs. I said, “It’s really breezy in these.” Then a voice said “Cut.”
2/20/22:
I was coaching at a club volleyball tournament in a big convention center. We got to the court and it was surrounded by turnbuckles and I got mad because no one told us it was a caged-death match. My players (which included Maggie C. and Katie S.) said not to worry because we’d win, but I went to complain to Tournament Central. The person complaining in front of me handed the director a stack of cash to change his mind on match rules. I didn’t have any cash so I handed him two cases of boardgames. I went to look for my court but couldn’t find it because the hall’s numbering system was screwed up and nothing was in order and I wasn’t sure how to find Court 16.

I was in a dorm room that reminds me of Lowe House in Friley at Iowa State. There was a girl there I recognized but couldn’t place. Her name was Abbigail Poll. I thought she was cute. Then my friend came in and I mentioned recognizing her somehow and he said “Of course, because she’s a porn star dude and she likes you.” The friend told me his alias but he was really Matt Crum. I realized the friend was wrong–I didn’t know about her doing adult films. I realized she was actually Allison Paul–younger sister of Brian Paul who I went to 6th-8th grades with before they moved to Texas. I didn’t say anything to her because I hadn’t seen her since 1982.
2/20/15:
I was living in my old gamestore. Everyday this old couple kept trying to come in, so I’d low-crawl out of their line of sight so they wouldn’t see me. Finally they came back wearing Iowa State University Alumni Association sweatshirts, so I opened the door.
They had a paper bag of meds that they needed to identify and thought that I could do that for them since I was a fellow alumni. I said ‘No’, gave each a piece of chocolate, and pointed where the hospital was (it was a big tower–like the Eye of Sauron one). They said “Thank you, your grandmother would be proud.”

I was in a hospital surrounded by zombies, but they couldn’t go anywhere if I put triangles of black electrical tape on the windows. After I escaped, I tried out and made the LLCC baseball team as a pitcher…until the Pirates signed me to a AAA-contract. Best of all–my arm didn’t hurt when I threw breaking pitches!
