2/10/24:

I was in a house in a different room than Shaquille O’Neal. There were no overhead lights but everything was backlit or had black lights. The house was in Cleveland and it was dinner time. Shaq said that if I went to eat with him, he’d pick up the tab. There was someone else in the house [but I’ve forgotten who] that was hiding from Shaq and me.

I was in a new Blues Clues movie sometime in the future. They brought Steve back but he was old and bald and wearing a ‘wifebeater’ shirt and walking around with Buddha–who kept waving his arm at people like the cats do in a Chinese restaurant. They were upset that no one knew where the script was and I suggested they look for clues and then everyone got quiet and just stared at me.

I was in the room where we had band in high school. There was a college band there and they were recording a song. It was a jazz version of something that sounded like either the Mission Impossible or Hawaii 5-O theme with piano and horns. I had a profound thought and wanted to write it down but all I had was a napkin. I tried to write on it but dropped my pencil, so I said to the conductor, “They’ve got to sell it like it’s the ’70s, babe.”

I was driving my Challenger and had my mom, dad, and only child in the car with me. Then a storm appeared with infinite lightning in the sky. There was a mall parking lot lower than us on the left and I knew I needed to be careful because of the weather, then suddenly we were in the parking lot, it was flooded, and my car was sucked into a storm sewer where the Challenger fit into. It got stuck against iron bars underground. My family was gone and I didn’t want to drown, so I climbed out. Then I was in a hotel on the phone and the person told me they couldn’t do anything with insurance for 30 days until the sewer digested my car.

I was at T-Town HS watching a variety show and a skit featured the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I wanted to look backstage and it turned out they were muppets. When I got back there, I also saw there were rag dolls of the TMNT sitting there and a teacher asked me to draw nipples on them so they would be anatomically correct [this is due to a weird photo sent to me by Eric C. of a Popeye tattoo]. I didn’t know what was anatomically correct so I pointed at their eyes and said “They are already on here.” Then a student poked me twice in the chest and said “No, those are what he means.” I then threatened to sue for sexual harassment and the teacher there said “We don’t know what that is.”

It started with me driving in a car–and not wanting to pull in behind a truck carrying logs due to the movie Final Destination [I have not seen the movie–so not sure why this was important in the dream]. I pulled over and wound up on a Civil War battlefield where there were explosions and people were dying–but everything would flash back and forth between ‘real life’ and movie interpretations of those real peoples’ deaths. One death scene included five men killed in an explosion on the little slope separating my grandparents’ house in Keokuk from a lumberyard to the south. In the interpretation, they were in gray uniforms. In the ‘real life’ explosion, they were in burgundy uniforms and there was no fireball–they just all flew in different directions dead except for one guy who staggered towards an old guy whittling on a tree stump. The old guy was Stonewall Jackson [who never reached age 40 in real life…]. Jackson looked at me, pointed his knife at the dying guy and said, “That was my preacher. His name was Jethro. Never did like him, you know?”

We decided to get a dachshund puppy. It was REALLY long–like body-pillow length. I wondered whether our other dogs would like him or not and then I was in hospice and requested music be played while I was dying.
