Dreams – 12/27
12/27/23:
I was running in some farm fields but there was nothing beyond the field. I couldn’t turn and though I was running, I wasn’t moving.
12/27/22:
I was on the top floor of my grade school. I was late to go on a trip to Origins and had to get downstairs. The stairs were really narrow (instead of being 10-ft wide as in real life) and filled with kids (everyone I went to school with back then) and I had to squeeze between them to get downstairs. I was halfway down when Matt Anderson punched me in the gut. I stopped and rustled his hair, then grabbed him and stared at him, telepathically threatening to throw him over the railing.
As I stepped off, I stepped into a corridor with tile on the floor and I was hustling to load my Origins vehicle. I was dragging a wheeled cart behind me towards an elevator–somehow I was near the gym of my high school heading towards the stairs leading up except they were not there. It was the lobby of a hotel and the old big blue van was parked there but the building lights weren’t on. I went into the breakfast area to turn the lights on, but the lights had been switched from a fusebox to somewhere else, so I would need to load in the dark and that scared me. I wondered where Dave P. was–then he appeared with the game cart which I had let roll back down the white corridor.

It was like my grandparents’ backyard in Keokuk but much larger. It was a soccer field with one sideline being a small hill and fence separating it from a lumber yard and a street past the far goal which was barely visible. I had the ball and was trying to score but couldn’t move fast–neither could the opposing goalie. My grandfather came in to help but couldn’t control the ball because he was in army boots. He passed me the ball and I let it roll along the touch line and then kicked it back to him but the ball only moved a few inches. He shot wide and–then we were playing inside a grocery store and bouncing the ball off of walls and avoiding shelves/obstacles trying to get the ball past the cashier [Mr. Whipple from the Charmin commercials].
