Dreams – 12/13
12/13/24: I was in a hallway when someone rolled crumbs down the hall. I thought they would taste like peanut butter but a Roomba appeared, sucked up the crumbs, and then disappeared through a door while ‘As the Caissons Go Rolling Along’ played from somewhere.
12/13/23 #1: I was sitting with people at a table beneath a staircase. Things had a blue tint. I realized the people were from where I went to HS and included Kris Johnson–and they didn’t realize I did a ‘quantum leap’ into my younger self. Eric Canfield started down the stairs and it made me giggle because he looked like he was 16. Kris asked why I laughed and I explained I was from the future and knew what everyone would do over the next 40 years. They all laughed at me.
12/13/23 #2: I was in Friley Hall and I was lost–looking for someone who asked me out/said she was my girlfriend but she walked away and no matter how fast I moved, she was always JUST faster until she disappeared around a corner–no one would let me follow past the corner because everyone was getting ready to shower in that hallway (apparently literally). I blinked and it was dinner time and I was entering “Dungeons” at ISU. There were large lines so I went to find an unoccupied table to hold for the ‘Foster boys’. It took a long time but I found a table and put my blue LLCC jacket over a chair to claim the table. I walked to get food and a girl kept running in front of me/doing cartwheels/moving in the same direction. She was in a white leotard with orange shorts. I finally got to the entrance and realized it was completely redesigned.. I grabbed a tray–which was completely flat and made from metal and realized they put the food by the cashier where there was a drawer with deviled eggs mixed in with other gunk (??). I grabbed tongs and took three eggs and put the tongs back in their holder which was filled with brown jelly–may have been BBQ sauce. I got some pop from a fountain–then the dream ended.
12/13/22: I was standing in the offices of The Economist getting sized for a pair of shoes. I was discussing with the editor the news that the Dutch had vetoed a military spending bill when we received reports that Pakistan’s president had also vetoed a spending bill and didn’t care that his parliament’s vote had been unanimous. Pakistan’s president made the word official in his best-selling book “Why I Vetoed the Budget”. The editor said I should read it to figure out what happened. I said, “He vetoes the budget.” The editor said “Oh.”
12/13/21: I was laying on a couch next to my mom. She was asleep, so I got up and went to the kitchen for some coffee. After a while, I came back and climbed over a series of hurdles [has to be the gates we use with our dogs in real life] and grabbed wireless headphones off a balloon I’d set next to my mom. I heard a voice say “I’m not there anymore” and realized no one was there next to the balloons, so I left the house…which transformed into a motel. I went to another room and had an Indian woman [subcontinent, not American] want to sit on my lap since she was my girlfriend–but this annoyed me because I couldn’t see the Iowa State game on the TV. Also, the TV was sitting next to a glowing fishtank.
