Dreams – 11/8

11/8/23:

I was watching a baseball game and they had a rule that fielders couldn’t move until the ball was hit and they all had standardized places to stand. The announcer (I think–though definitely part of the dream) was the “Liberty Biberty” guy from the Liberty Insurance ads.

11/8/21 #1:

I climbed to the top of a half-built barn. It was winter. There was a tube/pipe at the top on top of a narrow square portion and I needed to open it up. I took my gloves off and started to unscrew the pope and realized I was barely balanced and it was windy/icy. People below threw ropes up from both sides to hold me in place. I opened the tube and there were documents inside and I worried if I didn’t screw the lid back on they would all blow away. At that point, the barn started to tip over and when it did, I rolled off uninjured. The building was ok and now that it its open middle was on the ground and the bottom was facing the side, it still looked like a half-finished building and I told the people with me that was a design feature.

I was watching a Cubs game. Harry Caray was doing the announcing and the Cubs were up 1-0. I knew the game had to be a repeat because #50 was pitching and I knew that was Les Lancaster [in real life that really was Lancaster’s number for the Cubs]. There was also a timer on the score counting down from 3,000 seconds though I didn’t know what it was counting down to. Lancaster threw a pitch, the right-handed hitter made contact, and the camera view changed to being over the third-base stands. The 3b caught the pop up while he was actually standing atop the third base bag to end the inning.
