I was in a building with a long balcony with lots of columns when I found out the bad guys arrived led by Darth Vader and that I had to escape. I ran through the building trying to hide my trail but I fell down a dusty ramp and then another that had pipes stacked on it and found myself in a gymnasium–like one of those in Larkins Hall at OSU and I figured they would never expect me to sit in an office and look like I was doing work.

I was with a German WW1 unit ordered to hold its position at ‘the radio shack’. Suddenly we had a chrome mortar and we were shooting rounds at the shack because it belonged to the enemy. We couldn’t hit it, so we went back to the shack and I saw we had tied our radio operator to a post inside so we hadn’t broken the rules. One of the men started picking at his face and peeling his skin off–like a bad sunburn.

I was with a group doing BP with softball–Dave Hamm was part of the group and he decided you batted until you hit one ball then we switched batters. He was pitching terribly; one pitch hit a pile of wood covered with a black garbage bag. I replaced him and thought it would work better if everyone got to hit several times before we rotated. I couldn’t hold more than one ball in my glove–and the balls were all drastically different in size. I threw one towards second base and it flew up a hill over railroad tracks to a different neighborhood. The crossing lights started flashing after a guy went for the ball–we yelled to hurry because the train would block his return ‘forever’. Then Brian Olsen showed up and people were upset he was late and that a second guy wasn’t with him but I was happy because it meant he was really interested in being on the team and being late was better than not showing.

I was in a hotel helping run a casino night. I was running a game that was like Tic Tac Toe (sort of) on a big whiteboard–that was sitting on the ground. I was only using part of the whiteboard for the game. No one was coming into the room, so they brought a woman in to help run it and it was decided to move everything onto the plastic white tables rather than play cross-legged on the floor.

It turns out, it was all part of a sting operation to catch a killer. [My viewpoint switched to first person here.] I knew what was going on so I went into the police office to report my findings. I was with two other people–one was another officer. I told the officer in charge that I knew we were looking at a serial killer being on the loose and that it could reach the highest levels of government. I left the office with the two other men. We were on an old, dingy stairway. The first man smiled and started down the stairs. He was wearing black with a silver scarf. The officer stayed with me outside the door and told me I was too smart for my own good. He then shot me in the chest. I realized the man on the stairs was in disguise and was the killer and the officer was protecting him because the other man was the government. I dropped to my knees and said, “God save the czar!” The man in black smiled and said thank you–he looked like the Nazi bad guy from Raiders of the Lost Ark.

It started with a “Top Gear” like competition show where the original hosts had to buy two cars, a good one and a lemon and then they had to do a bunch of tests, combine the results, with winning cars moving on to later rounds. I thought it was a good concept but changed the channel to a “Survivor” sort of show–they had contestants inside a sinking ship and they had to cross a rope bridge with planks covered in foam while it rocked up/down back/forth and they had to see how long they could last before puking. On shore, there were strategy meetings between contestants–except there was another group hiding in the shadows monitoring the players who thought everything going on was for real rather than for TV.

I was told that today was Don’t Wear Pants to Work Day…so I didn’t. Everybody else knew it was a joke so I was the only person pants-less at the golf course where I was working. I kept hiding behind bushes but that meant I didn’t get the grass mowed (with a push mower). Later, I was in between two buildings close together halfway up a ladder when I realized there was a crowd of people below me tugging at the ladder. I thought they were zombies but they were actually school administrators. They were angry and kept shouting, “Don’t help immigrants! Don’t help immigrants!” [The immigrant part is from an article before bed about an immigrant materials engineer who has figured out how to make a biodegradable replacement for plastic used in restaurant cups/one-use items…for the same cost of producing plastic (0.3% more expensive…so not QUITE the same). No immigration–no brilliant idea which would massively reduce landfill plastic waste.]

I walked so much during volleyball practice that part of my big toe’s nail was falling off–a perfectly square bit in the middle of the nail. I just pushed it through and slid it out the top. It made my toe look like an old Chinese coin.

I was a member of a sorority (yup) and needed a date, so I went and found Mandy McAllister and Megan Vladic. They said yes except Megan said, “You already have a girlfriend.” I said, “Yes, she’s from Girard, Kansas.” [I don’t even know if there’s such a town] I also realized then that I didn’t know my girlfriend’s name, so to remember, I told Megan and Mandy about how I met the girl. It was in a Sociology class and I didn’t have a pencil, so she lent me one. We went to my backpack for me to pay her back and she was impressed because I had a car jack and tire iron in it along with a peanut butter sandwich. It turned out she liked to dress-up like TV characters and act out scenes from Seinfeld (the WORST TV show ever).
