Dreams – 11/13
11/13/24 #1: I was walking through the Bettendorf mansion and got to the central stairs, except they had been replaced with a slope/slide. The slide was still carpeted and I asked why the change was made and I was told it was easier to go up and down for old people and little children. 11/13/24 #2: It was night and I was following a black-haired woman up stairs to her house. For some reason, it was important that I knew she was Jewish. We entered through the kitchen door and there was all sorts of clutter. She kept walking but I stopped to say hi to her mom pinned against the wall by the kitchen table. She tried to fist-bump me but we couldn’t reach one another–the mom was wearing a pearl ring on her hand. I then followed the original woman out another kitchen door and down some steep stairs where everyone sat down in wood chairs waiting for someone (no idea who) to arrive.
11/13/21: I was pitching in a baseball game on ‘the back diamond’ (it was by the creek at Junge Park in Davenport) but our opponent didn’t have enough players. I asked where they were and was told they preferred sitting on the team bus. I stood on our bench to peek over a wall to look and saw their bus pulled up to the fence of a different game. I walked that way but stopped to watch the NY Mets infield practicing. Their ball got away from them so I threw it to the first baseman but I couldn’t throw it 90 feet. It hit a dirt clump and bounced 90° away into foul territory. The 1B said thanks for trying but they couldn’t get anything to bounce right on the field.
I went inside to a big cafeteria for food. I saw a woman with kids. To be funny, I took one of the chairs at the table and put it on like a backpack then twisted left and right and kept smacking (lightly!) the people who stood on either side of me. The kids thought it was funny. The mom stood and said “It’s time to go.”
