Dreams – 10/6

10/6/24 #1: I was looking at a red dot on the ground and zoomed in and realized it was blood. I kept zooming and in the dot, I saw a room with me in it and a group of people, my ‘team’, along with my assistant Sarah. We were on an interplanetary mission but Sarah didn’t want to do what I ordered, but I was tired of arguing, so I started dusting my grandmother’s curio cabinet. Behind me I heard announcer Joe Tessitore say, “That’s not the best way to do it” so I blew on the knickknacks and a white cloud was blown into the room and Tessitore said, “Well there you have it.” 10/6/24 #2: I was at a volleyball tournament looking for the right court. It turned out it was an indoor beach tournament. I found the court–#48 then went to get my team and come back. I couldn’t find my team so I went back to 48, but everything was different. There were now two different giant sheds there–one with a single court and stands and the other with two courts squeezed right up against one another. Games were going on all the courts and I couldn’t see my team anywhere.

10/6/23: I was playing a boardgame at a rectangular table–except it may have just been an elevated rectangle with nothing under it. Everything was blue-gray and I realized I was underground in some sort of cave complex. To the side, I thought I saw a huge mural of an aircraft carrier, but I realized it was a real WW2 carrier anchored inside the cave.

10/6/23 (Nap): I was in the living room with Kaiju (though I don’t remember if he looked like Kaiju in the dream or not). He’d been licking his paws, so I took a look and saw his belly was wet, too. He had found a hole in the carpet and had been rolling around on the carpet padding–which turned out to be small pellets of butter, so that Kaiju hadn’t been licking his paws, he’d been eating butter.

10/6/22: I was standing in a crowded kitchen. Everyone was inside because it was raining outside. At some point it started raining in the kitchen and people began screaming/panicking. One person handed me a dark green chit that had “10-2” in white printed on it and said “You have to make sure this is saved.” The rain was melting all the games in the room and I realized the 10-2 was a very rare/lost US Marine leader counter from the original Squad Leader prototype.

10/6/21: I was playing volleyball as libero. The coach was standing right behind me constantly talking to me throughout the set even though I couldn’t see her. When we switched sides [clearly the dream wasn’t taking place during the pandemic], the libero on the other side had to play while sitting in a blue convertible with a black top–and the top was up…so doing ANYTHING was impossible. I tried reaching out the windows to play balls but nothing was within reach. Also, the car was parked with the front facing the endline. I did see the coach though because she was behind the wheel of the car. It was Denise Sheldon in her USAV gear.

10/6/20: I moved into a house in a bad neighborhood (it actually was like something from The Brady Bunch) with my ‘family’. It was decorated like something from Mad Men. It turned out it was actually a large apartment next to a movie-level bad guy, so we were really there to break into his place. We couldn’t do that though because he had a deadbolt on his door, so we tried the fuse/electrical box but it turns out if you grab different electrical wires, you could look like Wile E. Coyote. One of my family climbed into the ceiling and moved sound panels out of the way and got into the bad guy’s bedroom but couldn’t remember what we were supposed to steal, so he left, but tore his pants on a water sprinkler that was up in the ceiling. I heard all this going on while I was trying to close the drapes so everyone out there couldn’t look in and see us.
