Dreams – 1/1

1/1/25 #1: I was moving on a road (no idea if it was a car or bike) at night and came across a neon sign by the road that was red/pink and it looked like it said “adventure” but then I went down a hill slightly and I realized from that angle, the sign also looked like it said “whore” (?!) instead. 1/1/25 #2: I was looking at a map (a la travel in Raiders of the Lost Ark) and was following a road to the northeast when I realized there was a massive traffic jam on Highway 18-East and I would need to find a different route. Then I was running on a blacktop (1st person) barefoot with cars all around me. I stopped suddenly because the asphalt ahead looked sticky and too hot to step on so my feet froze in place and I couldn’t go forward anymore–so I realized I was part of the cause of the traffic jam.

1/1/24 #1: I was in a room with two tables one in front of the other. There were three men at each table on brown folding chairs. I was sitting on the floor. They had computers in front of them and I realized I was sitting in the offensive coordinators room for the “New England Bears” at a football game–then the guy at the back table furthest from me had his computer break down. He couldn’t get in so I went and offered to help. To log back in, he had to type a certain pattern into the buttons of a control panel that looked like a 1980s hand-held game but he couldn’t do it and watch the video of how to do it at the same time, so I did it for him and realized the how-to video was set to run at 3x speed. His computer started rebooting, he clapped me on the shoulder, and then I was sitting on concrete bleachers in an empty stadium.

1/1/24 #2: I was visiting Guenter and he was hosting a game convention at his house–which was a WW2 bunker carved into a mounted side. People were playing games at picnic tables outside his house. [remaining elements of the dream are forgotten]

1/1/23: I was in an office–it had painted white concrete blocks for the walls. I was sitting at my desk (coaching volleyball??) when I got discouraged and lay down on the floor. When I did, the room’s light went off and I felt something warm touch my spine. I realized it was my dog Spike and that when he was in contact with a spine, he became telepathic–and just wanted to let me know everything would be fine.

1/1/22: I decided the Foundation should publish a quarterly magazine with a game inside you could pull out and play. Then I decided customers should have three options of how to buy it instead–the pull/play, one that had actual components, and then a boxed version where there were mounted mapboards and players didn’t need to provide anything on their own (dice, etc).

1/1/17: We adopted a 100kg (yes, the dream was in metric) rat terrier. He was six years old and his name was Dustin and he would only sleep on my side of the bed.
