Down goes Oshkosh

No. 1 UW Oshkosh lost, 3-1, at No. 8 UW-Whitewater tonight. I don’t have details at the moment, but I will add a box score if it becomes available before 9:30, when I have to head to work.

EDIT: As if you have not seen it already, here’s the box score (there isn’t a box from Oshkosh as yet). And woah! There were 742 fans there for UWW’s Alumni Night? Right on!

Special thanks to Whitewater SID Tom Fick for doing a bit extra – even if it was just me refreshing like crazy – by updating with scores after each set. I would have paid a lot of money to see that thing on Penn Atlantic, though.

Whitewater won Set 1 (25-18), Set 2 (28-26) and Set 4 (28-26). Oshkosh won Set 3 (25-21).

The Warhawks up their record to 23-5. The Titans fall to 29-1. The season series between the two Midwest Region powers is now tied 1-1.

In related news, Texas-Dallas (19-0) beat East Texas Baptist, 3-2, tonight to become 2009’s Last Team Standing.
