Director: Richard Friedman

Starring: Patty Mullen, Ruth Collins, Kristin Davis

A horribly disfigured lawyer, wrongfully pronounced dead after a terrible car accident, is taken to an asylum for dissection, only to come back alive, kill everyone, and make the asylum his killing grounds.

‘Doom Asylum’ is another forgettable, cheaply made 80’s horror.

With bad acting, bad dialogue, bad sound, bad sound effects, and a bad script, could this possibly have been any worse? The actors said their lines as if they were reading it, and then waiting for the director’s “CUT”. And then there’s the bitch, Tina, with the constant, most annoying laugh. I felt like hitting the mute button every time she was on screen.

Boy, this was bad! This is also more comedy than horror, hence there is no suspense, and also very little that actually makes sense. From a character perspective, they were all idiotic two-dimensional characters.

Oh, whoopee-doo, there’s a twist ending. A twist ending that were obviously concocted at the very last minute for the sake of having a bit more meaning to an otherwise senseless movie. Hopefully I’ll forget this very soon. I mean, seriously…

Would I watch it again? Most definitely not.
