Demons (1985)

Director: Lamberto Bava

Starring: Urbano Barberini, Natasha Hovey, Karl Zinny

A group of random people are invited to a screening of a mysterious movie, only to find themselves trapped in the theater with ravenous demons.

How this film received such positive reviews is beyond comprehension. This is one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen…!

There’s way too much screaming, and an annoying score. It is a very noisy film. This was badly acted, with uninteresting characters. The film felt (and looked) experimental. The unnatural acting made it look like the actors were filmed during rehearsal.

I must admit, the practical effects were incredible for its time. Yet also rather disgusting. This was probably the best part of the film. Then again, sexy Urbano Barberini was by far the best part of the film….

The film pretty much revolves around people trapped in a theater, being pursued by demons – or are they zombies? I’m confused. Are they zombies or demons, as they sure do act like zombies. This atrocious film doesn’t seem to know the difference… Then there’s the props, which are shamelessly cheap! Oh boy…

Ok, so the best part of the movie was when the credits rolled..

Would I watch it again? Are you kiddin’? I’m trying to forget I ever watched this!!
