DELUXE – Get Down (2019)

Deluxe is a French band formed in 2007 in Aix-en-Provence. The band lists their influences as “Beat Assailant, The Roots, General Elektriks, Cannonball Adderley, Matthieu Chedid, Gainsbourg and many more”. Their live performances are characterized by using many different instruments and working each one into the mix. “Rhodes, guitar, bass, horns, you can expect a really complete live music experience when you see us on stage.” They have moustaches for a symbol—all the boys have moustaches and Liliboy usually wears a moustache-shaped skirt.

Fresh out the bed and doomed Apocalypse in bloom Everything counts as long as nothing is sacred Under think overall Can’t help but dread the call Balls in my court and i ain’t lifting a racket Engineered diabetics And only false prophetics Time flies no matter how slow you smoke him Flick on the happy thoughts Freak mode and off the charts

CUZ I I CAME TO GET DOWN I CAME TO GET DOWN

TO BREAK MY KNEES DO AS I PLEASE YEAH I CAME TO GET DOWN I CAME TO GET DOWN TO BREAK MY KNEES DO AS I PLEASE

I fear my telephone More so dying alone Oh goodness genius on my front door knocking Spelunking underground Emerging safe and sound Fungus and lack of sun and crunk torn stockings Choke on your celly-phone Invade my comfort zone Oh goodness genius through the back door sneaking Flick on the happy thoughts Freak mode and off the charts
