DeLozier back to work apparently

Maranatha posted its box scores from last weekend, and junior outside Torey DeLozier has picked up where she left off last season. If anything, she’s off to a better start. DeLozier led the nation in points per set, total kills and kills per set in 2010.

DeLozier, holder of a few NCAA records, is averaging 7 kills per set and is hitting .517 (91-9-159) through four matches (13 sets) this season. She’s also averaging 8.4 points per set.

Needless to say, DeLozier has a few entries on the Standout Stats (2011) page already and will have her name wallpapered there like she did last year and the year before that. DeLozier has three 20+ kill matches in four attempts. She had 18 kills on .900 hitting in the other. Silly, really. With any luck Crusader head coach Regina DeLozier, Torey’s mother, will be an AVCA member this season so Torey can add an All-America award.
