Day 62

Hello Readers! Unfortunately the last couple of days were not written in our books as we thought the road trip had formally ended – but it hadn’t quite yet! So here is what we can remember.

We woke up to a very noisy rooster walking around the campsite proclaiming his praise to the sun. Disgruntled we may have eaten breakfast then drove back to Christchurch to go to a pool.  Feeling cleaner we then guess that the day was spent between the library and phone calls trying to find a place to stay. There is a transaction at Amici’s Cafe around 1:30pm which was near the Botanical Gardens, so we probably had lunch there!

In the afternoon we did a rather disappointing walk along a waterway… somewhere. This is known from the only photos from the day! Tired we drove back to the same campsite out of town for the night, but this time drove over the bridge to the other side without the rooster. We Parked on a hill for dinner, then relocated the car onto flatter ground for the night. We played some cards before going to sleep.
