Dan Vasc is a singer-songwriter from Juiz de Fora, in Minas Gerais, Brazil, and has become internationally famous as the frontman of Fearless, which released their debut EP Ancient Wisdom in 2013. You’ve probably seen some of the covers made on YouTube by Violet Orlandi, a 26-year-old Brazilian singer who has just taken a more authoral approach to music by releasing High Priest Daughter.

“Kiss from a Rose” is a song from British singer-songwriter Seal’s second eponymous album, sometimes referred to as Seal II (1994), to avoid confusion with the singer’s debut album, Seal (1991). This is a metal rendition of the songRose, featuring Violet Orlandi. Instrumental arranged and performed by Victor The Guitar Nerd.

The song was first released as a single in July 1994 and included in the film The Never-Ending Story III that year. It was re-released a year later in 1995 as part of the Batman Forever film soundtrack, helping it top the charts in the United States and Australia. The song also reached the Top 10 in several other countries, including Canada, France, Iceland and Norway. At the 1996 Grammy Awards, it won awards for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Male Pop Vocal Performance.
