Dallas Announces Coach

Last week I wrote that Dallas had hired their head volleyball coach but hadn’t announced it. So, I made a game of it leaving hints, but there was only one problem. My Latvians were on the right track but got the name wrong! They are so distraught over the mistake that they seem to have taken down the Dallas Volleyball website (and all of Presto Sports). There is just no controlling those guys. The really good news is who they did end up hiring because she played with my daughter in club and in high school and is greatly loved by my family. Welcome to Dallas and back to the area, Alexis Emanuel!

Alexis played at Keller Central High School before graduating and playing 4-years at Fisk College. She went on to become an assistant there before moving to Lane College as their head coach. She now moves back into the area and will attempt to transform a very young team that only had 2-wins last season.

I am greatly looking forward to reconnecting with Alexis and excited to watch this Dallas team grow. I will say, the team needs to be ready to play, give it their all and not back down to anything. If you do that, you’ll have a coach that will always have your back.

I did give my daughter the last word on this hire and she responded with, “Wow that’s exciting!”

Who knows, I may even get her to attend some matches with me this season!

I’ll update this post with a link to the Dallas news item as soon as the Latvians get over their temper tantrum. (Yes, I am talking about you, Dzidra!)

(Bonus Content! The Latvians have learned another coaching position will open up in Region X. I expect to hear something official later this week on this.)

Here is the link to the Dallas article. Thank you, Dzidra, for releasing the site.
