CS3 Workshop Project
I decided to take up a workshop on Photoshop, just so I know how the darn thing works. I hear Photoshop this, Photoshop that, and it’s like a technical bogeyman for me because I hear about it all the time, but I’ve never experienced it for myself. So I take a 4-day workshop in Ateneo, and it turned out that the workshop focused more on the graphic design aspect than it did on the photography side. But no matter, it never hurts to learn a new skill. So now, I can say I know at least the very basic stuff about CS3, as opposed to knowing nothing. I’ve done 3 days so far, 1 more to go.
So for a project, we were tasked to come up with a poster selling a product to a specific market. Each of us had a different product and a different target market. I got a tricky set. My product was “bicycles” and my target market was “priests”. Great, I had to sell bikes to priests.
When presentation day came, I had one of the messiest posters. I was never good with cutting with scissors, so what made me think I’d be any good cutting up stuff using a mouse? My classmates had really professional-looking posters and mine was the equivalent of a messily cut-out poster by a grade 3 kid. Oh well, I had a laugh. So anyway, just to share, no matter how embarrassing, here’s my photoshop project, a poster selling bikes to priests:
