Crosby Signs Extension With Pittsburgh

Sidney Crosby signed a 2-year extension with the Pittsburgh Penguins today. The deal is for $17.4 million and starts during the 2025-2026 season.

Crosby is coming off a 94- point season and has 1,596 career points. That ranks as tenth in NHL history.

With the Penguins looking to get back to the playoffs after missing the past two seasons, it’s nice to not have to worry about the distraction of finding a new deal for Crosby. The Pens captain can just focus on playing well and helping the team.

After this contract ends in 2027 Crosbey will be 39 years old. So, this very well could be his final contract. Yet for now it’s good to enjoy at least a pair more of season with Crosby on the team.
