The Pittsburgh Penguins are in a spiral. With a 6-1 loss to the Utah Hockey club on Saturday November 23rd, 2024, they have no lost eight of their past 10 games. This sees them now occupying the basement of the Metropolitan division. However, one bright spot emerged during the contest with the NHL’s newest squad.

Sideny Crosby scored the lone goal for the Penguins to give him number 600 for his career. It was his eighth goal of the year and 21st point of the season. With the tally he becomes the 21st player in NHL history with 600 goals. He is one of two active players to reach the milestone, with the other be Alex Ovechkin.

It’s an impressive feat and exciting to see him still play at a high level. It’s just disappointing to see it wasted in a losing effort. Yet for now congrats on 600 Crosby!
