Director: Paul Haggis

Starring: Don Cheadle, Sandra Bullock, Thandiwe Newton, Brendan Fraser

Los Angeles citizens with vastly separate lives collide in interweaving stories of race, loss and redemption.

Allow me to be frank: I HATED every scene, every minute, every second of this offensive and insulting film!

The film starts off at the scene of a crash involving several vehicles, and then goes back in time to the day before. The characters who would be connected through this crash, are introduced – each with there own demons. And this is where I’m going to end my review, so yes, it will be short.

‘Crash’ is one of the most annoying and unpleasant films I’ve had to endure in a very long time. There’s not a single scene that doesn’t feature racism to some extent. Racial discrimination. Racist remarks. Racism. Racism. Racism. Nigger this, nigger that; black man this, white woman that. The film shamelessly deep throats the viewer with white and black. “Because I’m black”, “Because you’re white”, black and white, black and white, blah-blah, fu*king blah!! There’s no way in hell I will watch this film with my black friends – ever! Enough with this black and white already, I mean jeez!!!

Apart from all the despicable racist remarks, there was also not a single likeable character. Was I actually supposed to root for ANY of them??? The only exception, maybe, would be Officer Hanson (Ryan Phillippe). Oh, hell, he’s white, so I suppose that makes me a racist!!!!!!!! Fu*k that, I hated this movie so badly!!!!!!!!

‘Crash’ was surprisingly a box office success earning $98.4 million on a $6.5 million budget (how in the hell??). The film received 178 award nominations, winning 66 (!!??!!!) including 3 Oscar (Best Motion Picture, Best Screenplay, Best Film Editing).

Would I watch it again? No! No! No! No! No! No! I want to forget I ever watched this!
