Courtney McCool chokes Georgia out of Nationals birth.

McCool fell off the UB’s and in the end that is what cost Georgia a chance to advance to Nationals. At the end of rotation 4 both Georgia and Oregon state were tied with the exact same score. When they counted all scores (that is how the tie breaker works)Georgia was in third (Oregan state actually moved up to first but it was only a tie breaker so they ended in second) and Georgia was out of a shot to attend Nationals and defend their title.

Here is the kicker Courtney McCool will be the only gymnast from Georgia to advance to Nationals because she won floor and beam.

Now I don’t really blame Mccool but I love my sensational headline:)

IMO Shayla Worley should have been used on bars and that could have made the difference with Georgia having 5 bad scores ranging (not counting McCools fall) from a 9.725 to two 9.800’s.

The scoring was low all around compared to the BS going on in the Los Angelos region.

http://www.Collegegymfans.com has all the scores and I will do a better recap tomorrow after work.
