Cottin’s Farmer’s Market

The city of Lawrence has its official Farmer’s Market three times a week, either downtown or waaaaaaay out on the west side of town (on Thursdays). On Thursdays there is a dueling Farmer’s Market going on in town – the Cottin’s Farmer’s Market, taking place in the afternoon behind Cottin’s Harware store.

This little renegade market is a mere three blocks from our house, which we loooooove. There is also a Free State Beer tent and I mean – that alone is worth the trouble of heading over there. 🙂

Last visit we made it quick, given the 100-degree temps we’ve been experiencing lately (not really looking forward to spending more time than necessary in that kind of heat). Still, we lingered to listen to the live music and check out the scene after picking up our eggs, tomatoes, and Mr. Bacon BBQ sauce.
