Costco vs. Sam’s vs. BJs: part 2

Credit cards

The three warehouse chains differ with respect to credit cards.

For a long time, Costco has only accepted American Express. However, they are scheduled to switch to accepting only Visa in the summer of 2016 (originally this change was due to occur in April).

Sam’s recently expanded its acceptance of credit cards, starting with American Express in October 2015 and Visa in February 2016. Now, the club accepts all major credit cards.

BJ’s is flexible with credit cards, accepting all major companies.

Coupons

As I have written about in a previous post, Costco does not accept Manufacturers coupons https://cruisingcostco.wordpress.com/2015/12/18/non-costco-coupons/ but instead only accepts their own coupons. Sam’s has a similar policy. In contrast, in addition to their own coupons, BJs accepts manufacturers’ coupons.
