Regarded as one of the top programs in all of Division II football, Guyer will join the Crimson Hawks winning ways and feels his connection with the coaches is what sold him on being an IUP football player.

Looking back at his time playing for the Bellwood-Antis Blue Devils, Guyer will always cherish the double overtime win over Tyrone in his sophomore season as a top memory. He’s also been selected as an East-West All-Star game participant, something that he worked towards achieving over his days as a high school football player.

The future Crimson Hawk was a three-time All-Conference on the offensive-line, a two-time All-Conference player at linebacker, a two-time All-Area at linebacker, a First-Team All-Area on the offensive line as a senior, and an All-Area Designated-Hitter in high school baseball as a junior.

Unfortunately, Guyer’s been battling a torn labrum, an injury that limited him from catching in baseball the last two seasons. Despite the injury, he was able to power through and continue on with an impressive finish to his high school football career.

Guyer currently holds a 4.0 grade-point average and will be studying Marketing during his time at IUP. Best of luck as you prepare for college football and finish your final few weeks as a Blue Devil, Cooper! Thank you for the chance to highlight your success in athletics and in the classroom 🏈
