Come to the Darkside (We have Coffee!)
Hi friends! I think it’s really fun to make cards for my friends. For one getting a card for no reason is more fun than getting a card for a special occasion, and two most of my friends stamp so they really appreciate a handmade card!

When I saw these new stamps from Katzelcraft I knew they would be perfect for “girlfriend” cards. What a fun way to invite a friend over for coffee or just catch up! I am about to go to a stamp show with 3 of my friends and we are all going to ride together so just imagine 5 hours in a car with me and 3 others that can chat as much as I do, there’s won’t be a dull moment (or a silent one!) In today’s card I will share tips for coloring with alcohol markers, overlapping stamped images and a nifty tip for die cutting a matting layer when you don’t have the next side up die!

Katzelcraft coffee and tea themed stamps: Coffee & Tea to go, 5 O’clock Tea Cups, Tea Time (ladies), Fun Quotes-Darkside
White cardstock (Neenah Classic Crest for Markers)
Alcohol markers (I used Copic Sketch and Blick Studio Brush markers) You can use any brand you like or have, Ohuhu makes a nice inexpensive set of 80 for $39 that I like but they don’t have brush tips. If you want brush tips this set of 48 from Studio 71 is the best deal I have found and they blend nicely.
Coffee Cup brad: I bought mine at a stamp show from Eyelet Outlet, they are discontinued but they do have these cute coffee ones.
I could not find the paper I used online but I bought it by the sheet at JoAnn fabrics I believe, here is a coffee themed paper set you might like.
Memento Rich Cocoa ink (for stamping things you plan to color with alcohol markers) and desert sand for the light coffee cup, this dew drop 4 pack as both colors for cheap. *I used Stampin Up Creamy Caramel for my light ink.
Versafine onyx black (for stamping what you plan to emboss)
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and if so please share it with a friend! Til next time happy crafting!
