COMBICHRIST – Desolation (2025)

Combichrist’s “Desolation” is the band’s latest single, released on June 5, 2025 via Out Of Line Music. Clocking in at 5:03, it marks the first release since their 2024 album CMBCRST. The track blends the industrial aggression Combichrist is known for with a melodic, almost mournful tone—evoking shades of the Making Monsters era. It’s been described as a “gruelling requiem for a world on the brink,” combining visceral despair with electronic elegance

Lead vocalist Andy LaPlegua offered insight into the theme, stating: “I reached deep into the bones of both Combichrist and Icon Of Coil, not for nostalgia, but to carve a path through the ashes. This is a farewell letter wrapped in static, for a future we no longer deserve.”

“Desolation” signals a more introspective yet still brutally impactful direction for Combichrist. It’s a blend of electronic aggression and melancholic reflection—perfect for longtime fans and newcomers alike.
