Clearfield County Native Andy Stine Details Love for Sports

Andy Stine has loved sports since he was a little kid. Growing up in the small community of Morann, a town of just around 100 people and a few small businesses, sports became a way to meet new people and something that forever connected him with his family.

Stine started playing baseball at just five-years old, but eventually added football and wrestling later in his life. Football was something he couldn’t wait to try when it came time to be in middle school. A few years later, Stine found himself playing on Saturdays for the Thiel College Tomcats. 

Earning a degree in Media Communications, he accepted his first job as a sports writer in January 2012. More than a decade later, Stine now works for one of the largest publications in the entire state of Pennsylvania in The Altoona Mirror.
