Bubba Chandler was named this week’s pitcher of the week for the International League.

Chandler was recently promoted to Triple-A making, his debut on Friday August 9th, 2024. During his debut he pitched seven scoreless frames allowed two hits, walked one batter and struck out six. He earned the win as the Indianapolis prevailed 6-0 over Nashville. He is also the new number one ranked prospect in the Pirates farm system.

It’s good to see a strong start from a top prospect. Can’t wait to see Chandler keep dealing and hopefully add some more awards to the trophy case.
