Championship Saturday matchups

The NCAA tournament will get its shape today when 36 conferences decide their Pool A bids. Ithaca and Hunter qualified yesterday. The remaining four Pool A’s will be determined tomorrow.

I will try to update the Conference Tournament page with champions throughout the day as quickly as I can. From the links on that page you can also access live coverage where available (most every conference has some sort of coverage).

My highlights for today include the title matches in the MIAC, WIAC, UAA and OAC. But if I had to pick the best match today to watch online, it would definitely be the MIAA title match between Hope and Calvin. If you’ve never seen those two play each other, do yourself a favor and find time to at 3 p.m. (central) today from this link. There are other great rivalries around the country, but I think Hope/Calvin is the best in D-III volleyball.

Teams that clinched Pool A’s on Friday Hunter (CUNY) Ithaca (E8) (Unless the OAC changed its rules, I think Heidelberg clinched yesterday, but I couldn’t find confirmation of that anywhere online. So I’ll hold off on that for now)
