Cardiel is a psychedelic rock and punk band formed in 2010 by two Venezuelan musicians now based in Mexico City: Samantha Ambrosio (drums/vocals) and Miguel Fraíno (guitar/vocals). Both were born in Valencia, Venezuela, and moved to Mexico in the 2000s. The band started out creating music for skate videos, combining speed and aggression with elements of psychedelic dub.
Cardiel’s sound blends punk, stoner rock, dub, and psychedelia, producing an intense and energetic atmosphere. They are known for their vibrant live performances and strong connection to skate culture, and they were among the first bands featured in Thrasher magazine representing both Mexico and Venezuela.
