Cale Alit is a versatile musician, sound healer, and yoga teacher known for his meditative and therapeutic music. Based on sound journeys and a blend of global influences—including traditional Indian and Nepalese sound therapy, shamanic practices from South America, and New Age ambient music—Alit’s performances often feature instruments like the Persian santur, didgeridoo, and harmonium. He has toured internationally, performing at festivals such as Ancient Trance and Awakening Sense in Mexico, where he leads singing circles, ceremonies, and workshops focused on healing and mindfulness.

The Persian santoor is a traditional hammered dulcimer with origins in Iran. It features a flat trapezoidal body and is typically strung with 72 to 160 strings, played by striking with lightweight mallets called mezrab. Each note is produced by a unique grouping of strings, creating rich, resonant tones ideal for Persian classical music. The instrument’s design and tuning vary across cultures, but the Persian santoor remains especially known for its delicate, expressive sound and importance in Middle Eastern and Persian musical traditions.
