Cairo’s Spay Day

Forgive me if I can’t seem to focus on writing a new post because as I type, Cairo is in the vet, being prepped for his spaying (or neutering or castration).  I’m really a big advocate of spaying companion animals, but of course I still get SOOO nervous every single time, because it’s still a surgical procedure.  He was supposed to be operated on last Tuesday, but there was a malfunction in one of the machines, so even if he was already sedated, they had to postpone the procedure.  Imagine the stress I was in!  So take 2 happens today, and I just called the vet and they’re already prepping him up.  Please pray that everything goes well and for his quick recovery.  For some it may seem silly to be asking people to pray for a dog, but for anyone who’s ever loved a pet, you’d know how I feel right now. So just need to be surrounded with positive energy today.

I can’t wait to have him back home, so I could nurse him back to health in no time.  Oh well, I’m really a worry-wart, so it’s understandable how on edge and irritable I am now.  I just want my baby home again.

Here’s a phone pic of Cairo when he was brought to the vet in a laundry basket…

I swear, those cute little button eyes…when he dolefully looked at us as he was carried away at the vet, as if we were abandoning him to be taken away by evildoers.  Sigh…you can tell how STRESSED I am.  I’ll try to post an update once he’s back home, safe and sound, in Daddy’s arms.
