September 3, 2013:

We stopped here while in Richmond for a visit. There was a lot of talk on Chowhound about beef barbecue in Richmond, so I got a brisket sandwich as well as a pork sandwich. The pork itself was good, but the sauce they use is pretty bad. It masks the pork flavor and just doesn’t taste good. The brisket was not good: it had been sliced on a machine and had stayed intact, a sure sign that it had been cooked too fast, and it didn’t have much flavor. The coleslaw was unremarkable, They have a good beer selection. The ribs are supposed to be good, and the pork would be without any sauce.
