Bradenton Marauders 2024 Roster Review

S. Samek

We covered Double-A and High-A , now we move to Low A. We have the Bradenton Marauders roster review as they break camp in 2024 for opening day.

Six of the Pittsburgh Pirates top 30 prospects are on the roster highlighted by Michael Kennedy, the 15th ranked prospect in the system. Kennedy is coming back to the A level after spending a short time here last season. He sported a 2.13 era and 55 strikeouts in 42.1 innings during his first stint in the FSL.

Shalin Polanco also returns to the team as the 16th rated prospect on the Pirates list. Polanco had 45 RBIs last years, second most on the team. Jesus Castillo the number 25th rated Pirates prospects looks to spark the offense as on base guy, as he walked over 100 times last year and was just one of eight players throughout Minor League baseball to do so. He finished with 102 bases on balls during the year.

Last season the Marauders went 76-54 finishing second overall in the west division. However, they missed the playoffs finishing in second place during both half of the season. This should be a team hungry to get over that playoff hump. Unfortunately, the Clearwater Threshers got the best of them on opening night 5-2 as a bases-load ninth inning rally came up short.
