Book Title: Let the Children Worship by Jason Helopoulos (published by Christian Focus, 2016)

This book was an absolute treat and encouragement to read. The topics covered are as follows: why we worship, what worship should look like, a biblical defense of encouraging children to worship, the blessings and benefits of children worshipping with the adults in “Big Church”, some counsel for parents who are called to help their children learn to worship, some counsel for church leadership on these issues, and answers to common objections.

Some of the common objections that the author answers with clarity and wisdom are: what is the role of Sunday School for my child? What about Children’s Church? Won’t children find the worship service boring? What if my child becomes disruptive in the worship service? What if someone else’s child becomes disruptive in the worship service?

If you don’t see the benefit of having children sit through the worship service, read this book and it should change your mind. If you already have your children sit through the worship service, read this book and be encouraged to excel still more. If you have just recently started having your children sit in the worship service (as we at Wichita Bible Church have), read this book and receive the practical suggestions for how to best teach them to engage in worship.
