Black Hog — Frederick, Maryland

I had lunch at the Black Hog in Frederick, MD, and it was pretty good. I had a pulled pork sandwich and some greens and both were good. The pork was flavorful, moist, and with some nice char, and they served their “original” sauce on the side. That was good, because it has way too much sweetness. They also have a NC style sauce, which is fine, and a mustard-based sauce that I didn’t try. And the greens were good. I then tried a NC style sandwich. It was identical to the pulled pork sandwich, maybe with less char. They have a good beer selection. So far, it’s the class of the greater DC metro area.
