Billy Beck’s Breakout Freshman Year Doesn’t Compare to Service of Country

Billy Beck, a native of St. Marys, Pennsylvania, is not your average college running-back. As a 22-year old first-year college athlete, Beck took the Presidents Athletic Conference (PAC) by storm, becoming the Saint Vincent College Bearcats second leading rusher, while scoring seven touchdowns on the ground.

While it had been a handful of years since he had taken a snap in a football game, Beck was ready after serving our country for four years in the United States Air Force. The intense training from the armed forces paired with a positive transformation in his physique has helped Beck go from 140 pounds in high school to over 200 pounds as a now power and short yardage back for the Saint Vincent.

The former St. Marys Area Flying Dutchman’s seven touchdowns were the fourth most in a season in program history, while also adding a PAC Rookie of the Week award in his first college season.
With a great deal of talent returning for SVC in 2022, Beck hopes he can continue his success for the Bearcats and the program can get back to the postseason once again.

Best of luck as you continue your time in college, Billy! Thank you for the opportunity to share some of your story and to interview you for the show 🏈 🇺🇸
