Beauty Is In The Eye Of The Controller?

Individually, what we as gamers consider to be aesthetically appealing to are own corneas is all relative. For instance; many people would describe Keira Knightly as a vision of ocular perfection, the epitome of delicate beauty and elegant distinction. With visual radiance, etiquette, and sophisticated persuasion, encapsulated in her diminutive figure, only surpassed by her professional authenticity given to every cinematic performance that resonates with emotive intensity worthy of her superlative refinement. But for others–namely myself–its like some insidious person has decapitated a trout, and attached the now severed appendage to the vacant shoulders of a 12-year-old boy. Who am I to encourage such an overtly chauvinistic, superficial observation by inciting cynical ridicule for the purposes of an opening tirade for my post? No one of relevance. Possibly compensating for my own insecurities by deflecting from my own, under nourished vanity. I have no authority nor integrity to question the legitimacy of someone’s exterior captivation, but to simply illustrate a relevant point of contention; that beauty– depending on the individuals observing–are all subjective perceptions.

“Another day, another Uncharted reference. What are you going to do about it? No wait! Where are you going? Come back. Come on…
With games, there are many instances that highlight the specified distinctions that we all categorise as visually stimulating, cognitions that unify perceptions of what constitutes as attractive, with vivid illustrations that have us weeping moistened rainbows. But its odd the multitude of gamers that stare wistfully at the intricate detail of some distant, surplus architecture, or even from nugatory standpoint, the mild interspersed, graphical blemishes of the barrel your currently cowering behind, or textural anomalies of a window ledge your reticle is scoped in on, seem to resonate on a more profound basis than any narrative, or even the eponymous hero/heroine. How can you measure visual gratification? By the beautifully depicted vista? Such as the way the sun mirrors off the water with complimentary refinement, rippling in unison with the suns delicate touch, in a majestic ballet that infuses the translucent element with a veil of shimmering gleam? Or by the textural authenticity of a pistol? Or even perennially asking rhetorical questions that I have no answers for? I have a passionate tendency to recognise the bold, broad and more obvious textures, that illicit pronounced feeling of awe; such as bright, varied world smothered with the extensive vegetation. Taking brisk constitutions through valleys complimented by a litany of subtle wildlife, basking in the brightly expressive sun as the wind brushes the trees, with its pliant appendages gently swaying like metronomes as if delicately caressed by the tender gestures of fair-skinned maiden, like a female Keira Knightly (I’m sorry, that’s not fair).
The detailed composition of vividly riveting worlds, the attention to detail incorporated into parochial building, with exterior and interior decorations that cascade with fluid creativity that invite curiosity to explore this rich, simulated world extensively are compelling visual representations. But some people make note of less broad, visual strokes such as contrived structure of a blade of grass, that I would disregard with abrasive negligence. What I would perceive as enchanting, others would interpret as just an amplified exaggeration of its ethereal, visible sincerity. Beauty–in a virtual sense particularly– is in the eye of the beholder and certainly differs between the individuals. So stop with your dubious assertions to Keira Knightly’s presumed masculinity!
For legal reasons I would like to literate for clarification, that the opinions expressed–in-depth–above are not legitimate accusations, but opinions expressed for comical effect, and are not factually accurate statements, just pedantic conjecture. There is in no evidence to suggest that Keria Knightley is half goat, half boy. Thank you.
Do you notice the graphical prowess of your simulated surroundings? Or perhaps the nullifying experience of poor quality? Let me know about your observations. Cheers.
