Bears bounce Tigers

No. 4 Wash U advances to the semis with a 3-1 win over No. 13 Colorado. How good were the Wash U freshmen? Whenever it was libero Kelly Pang to setter Marilee Fisher on a dig or pass, good things happened for the Bears. Not hard to see why both freshmen were All-Americans (Pang, 1st-team; Fisher, 2nd-Team). Fisher in particular was awesome.

The Tigers played well for most of the first three sets but couldn’t avoid huge Wash U runs. Colorado has some nice hitters, that’s for sure.

Tomorrow Wash U will take on the winner of Hope and Tufts, which starts in about 45 minutes.
